FAQ´s
Does it have a scent or taste?
Our Peppermint Lip Balm is naturally scented and flavoured with organic peppermint essential oil. It has a fresh, cooling scent and a light minty taste, no artificial flavours, fragrances, or chemical cooling agents.
How do I use it?
Apply a small amount directly to your lips as needed. It’s rich and nourishing, so a little goes a long way. Use daily to protect, hydrate, and restore dry or chapped lips.
How should I store it?
Store your lip balm in a cool, dry place, especially during hotter months. Natural butters and oils can soften or melt if left in a warm car or in direct sunlight, but it will re-solidify when cooled without affecting quality.
Will it feel greasy or heavy on my lips?
Not at all. Our blend of grass-fed tallow and lightweight African oils absorbs quickly, leaving your lips feeling soft, protected, and moisturised, not sticky or heavy.
Is it safe if I accidentally ingest some?
Yes! Unlike many conventional lip products filled with synthetic flavours and petroleum derivatives, our Peppermint Lip Balm is made with real, edible-safe ingredients. It’s completely safe if a small amount is ingested through normal use.
Can children use this balm?
Yes, although because it contains real peppermint essential oil (which has a natural cooling effect), we recommend it for older children and adults. For very young children, our Unscented Lip Balm would be a gentler choice.
Why does my lip balm sometimes look slightly different?
Since we make everything by hand in small batches using natural, raw ingredients, slight variations in texture, firmness, or appearance are normal. Nature isn’t uniform, and we embrace that.
Does it contain preservatives?
No. Our lip balm is free from preservatives, synthetic stabilisers, and fillers. It’s self-preserving thanks to its stable, anhydrous (water-free) recipe. Just keep the lid tightly closed and avoid introducing water into the tin.
What You Put on Your Lips Matter
Ingredients matter even more in lip care. You inevitably end up ingesting a portion of what you apply to your lips throughout the day.
Most lip products rely on artificial flavours, synthetic fragrances, and petroleum-based fillers, exposing you to chemicals that were never meant to be eaten, let alone absorbed through delicate skin.
